The Sound Of Silence

A certain rock band known as The Beatles once created a song called “The Sound Of Silence”, its lines and melodies tell of a world that is without sound and music, and if you listen close enough, you can almost catch a glimpse of the painfully boring existence that is being described in the composition. This is probably what the world will look like if music never existed, a dark and lackluster world, a life that nearly all of us cannot even begin to think of.

We probably feel this way since as humans, we have always had an innate inclination and appreciation for music. There is definitely something about music that inspires us and adds colour to everything that we do.

For those who are drawn to the world of melody more than the rest of the populace, they can choose to build a career out of it and become professional musicians and performers.

It has been mentioned that you are either born with a talent for music, or you aren’t, and for quite a while, people have always believed this phrase to be factual. But things are changing, and people are becoming more and more open-minded. And it has been found out that just like any other skill, the skill for music can also be trained and mastered when given ample time and effort.

But let us not forget that there will always be individuals that are just born with amazing singing voices or superhuman instrument playing reflexes, the only difference is now, even people who were not born with the talent have the chance to polish their skills in a music school and eventually turn out to be just as talented.

Aspiring musicians of all ages can choose from a wide variety of music lessons, from multi-level vocal training, to lessons in a variety of musical instruments such as the guitar or keyboard, some music schools even have courses on music composition and directing.

In a world where you have the capacity to decide who you become, do not let stereotypes and pessimistic attitudes bring you down, believe in yourself and seize that ticket to your ambition.
